ARTICLE 1. General Provisions [15700 - 15754] Â Â ( Article 1 added by Stats. 1996, Ch. 277, Sec. 2. )
  15701.  As used in this chapter: (a) âBoardâ means the State Allocation Board. (b) âDirectorâ means the Director of Education for kindergarten and grades 1 to 12, inclusive. (c) âProjectâ means the purposes for which a school district has applied for an apportionment under this chapter. (d) âGrade level maintained by a districtâ means either of the following: (1) The kindergarten, if any, and grades 1 to 6, inclusive, or grades 1 to 8, inclusive, maintained by an elementary school district or a unified school district. (2) Grades 7 to 12, inclusive, grades 9 to 12, inclusive, or grades 7 to 10, inclusive, maintained by a high school district or unified school district. (e) âApportionmentâ means an apportionment made under this chapter unless the context otherwise requires. (Repealed and added by Stats. 1996, Ch. 277, Sec. 2. Effective January 1, 1997. Operative January 1, 1998.)
