ARTICLE 2. Terms and Compensation of Directors [16001 - 16003] Â Â ( Article 2 added by Stats. 1953, Ch. 72. )

  16001.  On the first Tuesday after their election and qualification, the directors shall meet and classify themselves by lot, so that the largest possible minority shall hold office for two years, and a majority for four years. Thereafter at each biennial district election their successors shall be elected for the term of four years. (Added by Stats. 1953, Ch. 72.)
