Streets and Highways Code - SHC

DIVISION 14. STREET LIGHTING [18000 - 19402]   ( Division 14 added by Stats. 1941, Ch. 79. )   PART 5. STREET LIGHTING FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE [19400 - 19402]   ( Part 5 added by Stats. 1970, Ch. 1314. )   19401.  In allocating funds for such purposes, the department shall give priority to those cities, cities and counties, and counties which submit in their requests for such funds the most convincing evidence that the proposed construction, repair, or improvement of street lighting facilities will aid in the reduction of the crime rate in the proposed lighted area.
