ARTICLE 2. The Engineer [5700 - 5703] Â Â ( Article 2 added by Stats. 1941, Ch. 79. )

  5701.  In its discretion, the legislative body may employ an engineer of work, other than the engineer or in place of the engineer, and all provisions of this division applicable to the engineer shall apply to such engineer of work. The legislative body shall initially fix or thereafter confirm the compensation of the engineer or engineer of work. (Amended by Stats. 1955, Ch. 625.)
